Quick Start Guide

Step 01

The owner of the Production House will need to create a talent profile. Login with a phone number and an OTP; enter your name and choose a role (can be changed later).

Step 02

We have pre built profiles for you to claim. Search for your first name, and add a role filter and you should have a list of profiles to claim.

Step 03

Mail us your company GST, PAN and TAN certificates at cs@touch.black or sushmitha@touch.black. Once our team reviews it, a Production House account will be created and linked to the owner's talent account.

Step 04

The owner of the Production House can have their managers signed up and add them as Team Members with permissions to access/edit the Blackbook, Calendar, Project and Messages.

How do I sign up as a producer on TouchBlack?

To create a producer (production house) account, the owner of the production house must first sign up as a talent. Then, fill out the sign-up form Sign-up form by entering the production house name, registered business name and address, owner’s name, GST, PAN, and TAN certificates, along with the social media links. Once submitted, our team will verify the information and convert your talent account into a producer account which might take upto 48 hours.

Why do I see multiple accounts in my name?

TouchBlack relies on production house data to confirm and verify credits. Variations in names could result from production houses posting credits with minor spelling errors or may actually represent different individuals. To maintain data integrity, the information is retained exactly as posted.

How do I claim multiple accounts?

Search using part of your first or last name and filter by role to locate profiles that might be yours. Once you find a profile that seems familiar, review the showreel to confirm the work belongs to you, and then hit the “Claim” button. For your first claim, you’ll need to authenticate with Aadhaar verification. After this, you can claim all profiles linked to your work, including those with misspelled names or different roles you’ve performed. Please note that incorrect claims may result in your master profile being suspended.

Why does TouchBlack require my Aadhaar verification?

Aadhaar verification is required only for the first time you claim another account. This ensures the claim is made by the rightful owner. TouchBlack does not save your Aadhaar information, as all communication with UIDAI is encrypted.

Is it safe to disclose my Aadhaar number and OTP?

Yes, it is completely safe when done through TouchBlack. All communication with UIDAI is encrypted, ensuring your information remains private and secure. TouchBlack does not store your Aadhaar number or OTP; these details are used solely for verification through UIDAI. The verification process complies with UIDAI guidelines and is conducted via secure and approved channels.

How do I upload films to the platform?

To add a new film, tap Showreel > Add New Film. Enter the film name, film URL (YouTube/Vimeo only), and the crew URL (posted by the production house with credits). Our backend team will validate the information and update it on your profile within 72 hours.

How can I correct a film credit or talent credit?

If you find any film with missing or incorrect credits, roles, or other details, tap the Report Film button. Choose the appropriate reason for the report, enter the correct film URL (posted by the production house with credits), add your notes, and submit your report.

Does TouchBlack have access to my chats and negotiations?

No, TouchBlack does not have access to your personal chats or negotiations. Your conversations about project deals, fees, and other sensitive information are fully encrypted and remain private between you and the other party. We prioritize your privacy and ensure all communication is secure, with no third-party access.
